The Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science at King Abdulaziz University seeks to achieve its vision, which is served by its mission, to achieve excellence and quality by adopting modern scientific research, covering the accelerating professional trends and keeping pace with the great developments witnessed by our beloved country in order to serve our society, and to enjoy the achievement of Vision 2030 with a firm leadership great builder of the nation.

In Chemistry department, in order to achieve our goals, we follow definite steps of a strategic plan with well-studied key performance indicators, through which we see the extent of the continuous improvements of the scholastic methodologies and the educational process. We rely on a smooth mechanism in which all members of the department who are characterized by highly qualified and dedicated people join hands.

The department is proud to include different areas of chemical research for undergraduate study, which cover a wide range of aspects of real life chemical aspects, and we aim to provide distinguished academic programs for all of our students.

The department also provides many opportunities for higher education at the Master's and Doctoral levels for research in the fields and branches of modern chemistry. The department focuses on advanced research fields and is proud of its distinguishable scientific publishing.
